Let The Boys Eat
…Dogs, that is!
This morning, I picked my mother up from the train station. When we got home, she asked, “Have you seen that South Korea banned eating dogs?” My first thought was “That’s hilarious.” After some more thought, I decided that my take is to let the boys eat dogs. Since this is smartguynews I did some preliminary research into this new law, which will go into effect in 2027. Now, the article I cite below states that 57% of South Koreans supported a ban on dog meat, so I suppose that it is completely fair to pass a law that is supported by a majority of citizens, although I know it is a result of globalization that this is the case. This article states that younger Koreans are not eating dogs, but that the older generations have been doing so and did so for a very long time. The article says that they thought that eating dogs on hot days would cool you down. To be honest, I bet it did. Whether there is any ‘scientific’ basis for this, or if it is a placebo, I am sure that it works.
I am not trying to put down any Koreans here or speak out of my lane, but any time a tradition like this dies out, I can’t help but feel like we are a little closer to a spooky world with absolutely no diversity. The very same champions of diversity seem to be the ones who are the strongest supporters of globalism, which never ceases to amaze me. Maybe the Koreans are self-conscious of this tradition? The older ones who do not care as much what the rest of the world thinks seem to have less of a problem with eating dogs. Another problem this article I read highlights is that of inhumane treatment. Now, I genuinely love dogs. If someone so much as yelled at one of my dogs, I would not hesitate to instigate a fight. That said, we should not be banning meat anywhere based on the average conditions in which they are harvested (this feels so wrong to be saying about dogs, I apologize). In the US, we have some pretty sketchy methods that give us cheap meat through questionable means, but fundamentally, I would never advocate for any sort of a ban on the meats that we enjoy here because many of them are inhumane.
Another issue I have with this law, which I know no true specifics of, and am basing my article off some second hand news, is that it says there will be no punishment for eating dogs, just a two to three year jail sentence for those involved in the practice of dog ranching. Another anti-farm law. Welcome to the new world order… Maybe we will see old-head Koreans do some more backcountry doggin’ on hot summers days, or maybe in a few years the whole world will be off dog meat. I am sorry to all dog lovers that I am writing a pro-dog eating article on smartguynews, I am definitely a dog lover and I don’t like that they were eating dogs in the first place, but I also don’t like that they are banning it to get more in-line with the West over this tradition they have had.
In reality, this is obviously a good thing for dogs and I should be happy, but the globalists have me so spooked for the future that any reminder of this will upset me. The ultimate move I can pull from now on is to pay NO attention to any foreign countries, and this is a goal of mine in the new year. Will you accept the challenge with me?
